School Around Us is a parent run cooperative with a focus in holistic education. Decisions by both parents and students are made through the consensus process to support the schools's mission of educating the heart, mind, body, and spirit of a student. Through 8 basic skill areas: Body Knowledge, Self-Knowledge, Logical Thinking, Environmental Harmony, Creative Arts, Communication, Citizenship, and Practical Life Skills students gain the skills necessary to become educated and compasionate citizens of a community.
